"I lead a healthy and active lifestyle, playing tennis and keeping fit. I even do British Military Fitness 2-3 times a week and also go to the gym. You think to yourself, I’m healthy, I lead a healthy lifestyle, why should I worry about cholesterol, but I do think it’s probably quite important that you know your level. So when I was approached to have my cholesterol level tested, I said yes! Of course I was surprised it was quite a lot higher than it should be. It just makes you stop and think you need to take stock. My friends were surprised too, and I’ve got them thinking now. Some know their levels, some don’t, and there are some people that absolutely bury their heads in the sand about it.
I was asked to take part in the challenge and was obviously very keen because it’s something I can do to really make a difference to my own health."
